Does your department have the Courage to Be Safe? Congratulations to the following North Dakota Fire Departments that have received the Courage to Be Safe – Everyone Goes Home program;

Bismarck City, Bismarck Rural, Butte, Douglas, Dickinson City, Dwight, Falkirk Mine, Fargo, Fessenden, Garrison, Jamestown Rural, Larimore, Mandan City, Mandan Rural, Mercer, Wahpeton, Williston, & Wyndmere.

If your department has taken the CTBS class and we forgot you, please contact the NDFA office with the date and instructor.

Our goal is to bring this, most important, national program to every fire department in North Dakota. It’s FREE. Over the last 2 years only 18 of 377 ND fire departments have had the courage. What is your department prepared to do, to better understand why we are still killing firefighters, and how to make a positive difference in protecting its firefighters and community? . Please contact the NDFA Office, your regional trustee or stop by the CTBS booth at fire school to visit and schedule a training date

Congratulations to the Devils Lake Fire Department and Chief Jim Moe for participating in the Everyone Goes Home, Courage to be Safe program.

Here are some personal comments about the program; "It really, really hit home." "It made me take a good look at myself and what I need to do to make sure everyone goes home." and "Very educational about the things individuals and departments overlook and take for granted, everyday. We all need to take a good look at ourselves and make positive changes so we can be there when someone needs us."

Be the next department to look into the mirror and ask, Would I want my department or myself responding to an emergency at my house and trying to save my family? Don't wait, this program may just safe you or your families life! This is your chance to help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and NDFA achieve its goal of reducing firefighter injuries and deaths. Call the NDFA office today to schedule the program.

Thanks and Make Sure Everyone Goes Home!
